Jim Masterson

The Masterson Method is no ordinary form of bodywork for horses.

It works on a deeper level than massaging the muscles alone. This method of touching, observing for a response, and waiting for the horse’s release, helps the horse let go of physical tension. That tension may be from pain, past injuries, stress, or a number of other causes.

HorseClass recently partnered with Jim Masterson in a special clinic at the Farm Campus and in creating a new video series.

In this 8 min video, come behind the scenes as Jim talks about:

  • How the Masterson Method works by staying “under” the horse’s bracing response
  • Why trying to “fix” a problem is rarely successful and what to do instead
  • How to use your intuition in body work with your horse
  • What this skill of observing your horse does for your relationship with them
